Casting to your marked waypoint help need advice
« on: April 16, 2012, 02:09:28 PM »
So i just installed a798SI to my Trolling motor now i have one in the dash and on the bow of the boat!! i am amazed at how much better the picture is on the trolling motor SI unit as long as you keep the motor straight you get a very high quality drawing. anyway my question is when i mark a spot and i want to cast to it whats the best way because i loose myself on the map where the boat is in correlation to the spot. when i mark spots using the outboard i just drive over it and drop a marker, but now with the trolling motor i just want to cast to it without droping a marker whats the best way to do that??

change your setting from north up to course up.
On your menu it is the chart orientation selection..
That way  the map will always be relative to you. Unless of course you are sitting still then the map will wander a bit..
