Wireless SD cards

For the helix units that take a full-size sd card, will a wireless SD card work and if so could you run software on your laptop that would process the stored data in real-time. I suspect that reading a current file that is opened or in use could lead to problems however has anybody tried these cards and did they find them useful?

I’m not familiar with a wireless SD Card  ...

Do you have a link that explains this  ... ??

Thanks  Rickie  here the link https://nerdtechy.com/best-wifi-sd-card

At a minimum, they should let you transfer info without removing the SD card.

I think the best way to know if this is possible is to test this.
I don't think opening a file that is still writing is going to be the problem. I just had my webcam recording and I was able to play this file at the same time using windows media player. There was, however, a delay. From the moment I pressed record to the moment I opened the file with WMP.
As a software program I would try AutoChartPC. I've read that it can playback recorded sonar images on the PC. I just don't know how AutoChartPC works exactly. I guess you need to export the recorded files from your SD card. And wireless sd cards send the files to your pc via wifi, so they are not available in your sd card station.
If I had AutoChartPC I could have take a look if this may work, but I dont. And its a little to pricey to purchase just for testing this out.
Maybe someone els on the form can take a look at it.

Does not work. wl sd cards draw to much current. That's the main issue with some standard sd cards that draw to much current too and prohibits the device to startup.
I tested already. Now I use it for my 3D printer.  ;)
