360 or original transducer

Hi all

We bought a Solix 15 G2 which came with its standard transducer about 2 years ago. When the 360 became available I fitted it and updated the software and it now uses the 360 transducer exclusively. Am I dreaming or did I read its now not possible to use the old transducer as the main one, or can I tell the head unit to switch back to use the original transducer?

Now we have the 360 which is great, I'd like to build the original transducer into a towfish for more accuracy in deeper waters. I don't want to have to buy a second screen however.

i think as long as the 360 is in function the SI is not functionning on the tranducer but other functions should work and you should be able to choose wich SI you want to use

Original G1 360 is an Ethernet connection with its own separate power cable  ...

As long as the 360 has power - 360 and SI come from the 360 xducer  ...

Install a toggle switch on the 360 power  ...

Switch power off to the 360 to regain SI from the stock xducer  ...
