Topic: Need Some Help, interference problems on 898

Ok....I'm in the process of nailing down what my problem is here.  I know it has to do with wires probably touching somewhere.  When I added this to my trolling motor...this is on my down image only with some small interference when on side image setting but nothing like this.  I have added some filter/chokes but no luck. 

This interference is when the trolling motor is not on also.    Now...this white looking interference would have continued across if I had left along long enough.  Any ideas.......

This interference is when the trolling motor is not on also.  And if I would have let it...the interference would have covered the entire screen.

Its a flaw with the software. I just went through this myself after upgrading software 6.64.
I did a restore and it went away. Run it today for about 3 hrs and still hold good after I installed the 6.740 software update. If you look under the 898 post you will see more info about it.

So...what do I need to do.... ?   Do I need to restore the software in the unit then ?

This is a known bug in the DI Enhance Sharpness setting...(started somewhere around 6.570)...

Set the DI Sharpness to Off...

Well....went ahead an installed the new 6.740 software.  I had already updated my 1198 with this and went online at Humminbird and downloaded the latest for the 898.  Seems ok now.

Turn the DI Sharpness on and see if HB fixed the this bug in the 6.740...

I have not heard yet...
