Title: Thru Hull Transducer
Post by: fishnnnn on May 23, 2015, 08:04:47 AM
998c SI.

If you add a "Thru Hull" transducer, hook up y-cable to SI transducer, does the Thru Hull become the one that ALWAYS shows "Down Imaging, Switch Fire, RTS etc. No matter what boat speed?

The AS SIDB Y cable disconnects the 2d channel wire going to the 2d piezo in the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...

And re-routes the sonar signal to the "Dual Beam" xducer ...

With the AS SIDB Y cable ...:

*SI/DI and temp will always come from the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...
*2d will always come from the Dual Beam xducer ...

The settings in the unit do not change as this is merely re-routing wires ...so the unit will still see this setup as 1 xducer ...

Correct ...

The "Transducer Select" menu choice stays at "Hi Def Sidescan" ...
