I just had to pass along credit where and when credit is due. We have WAY TO MUCH negativity in the world today. I am a very recent purchaser of a new 898 C HD SI unit for the bow / trolling motor on my boat to be able to link to my already Humminbird 1198 unit together via etherneting. I encountered a few small problems at the very beginning and before my new unit could get wet to find me bass, it had to make a quick trip via FedEx back to Eufaula Alabama to the Humminbird plant. The customer service folks, tech folks, repair dept folks, shipping folks there starting last Friday ( Sept 6th ) through this week (Sept 9th -12th ) have gone above and beyond their call of duty to help me out. I returned my new unit ( 898 ) on Monday morning departing my town that afternoon via FedEx with Humminbird supplying my return shipment to them. My unit arrived in Eufaula mid-morning Wednesday ( Sept 11th ) and has been fixed same day, in shipment and returned to me by the end of the day on Thursday ( Sept 12th ). FOLKS.....AS THE OLD SAYING GOES...."IT DON'T GET NO BETTER THAN THAT" !!!!! My hats off to A L L involved to get me going again. So...being nice to others, having trust in their ability and not really worrying about something that you really can't control will help make for better days. Thank You Humminbird....and GREG also for taking good care of this Humminbird fan. Now, it's time to look for the bass and set the hook a few times...... :-)
