I'm new to this site.
Just bought a Helix 5 SI/Gps for my inflatable.
Haven't got it yet. I ordered it the day Matthew hit Florida. And the company I ordered it thru is in Jacksonville.
It was suppose to ship today.
Question?
I am a Apple Mac family. Will I have problems finding software to download the micro card to my computer.
Don't know if this is the right place to post this.

Software updates are not in a format that any operating system can "read" ...
Software updates are "packaged" in a .bin file format that is simply "copied" to an SD Card ... Which any PC or MAC can accomplish ...
-----
Humminbird PC, on the other hand (which is Waypoint management software that is available for free download in your online HB account) can only be used in a Windows PC environment ...
This can be on a native Windows environment ... or run in Mac environment using "Parallels" ...

The .bin file format is a file extention for "Binary Code" which any modern processor can transfer regardless of installed operating system type.
