Title: 997c si simulator keeps reloading
Post by: sblatt on January 30, 2015, 10:04:36 PM
So I'm trying to pass time in the winter and play around with the  humminbird at the console. I go from the main menu into simulator, and after about 15-20 seconds, it goes to the loading screen and back to the main menu. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas and or solutions. I would love to be able to mess around with the settings in the garage. I'm running software version 6.300. Thanks for the help

What are you using for a power source?   I had that problem a while back and I went with a 2 amp power source and it solved the problem.  If your power source is not able to handle the load then these units will freeze up, re boot and do all kinds of strange things.

It's ran straight to the cranking battery with an inline fuse. Not sure of fuse size, but it only reloads in simulator mode. If I go into normal operation it'll run fine

So to unplug everything, I need to go in the plug and pull out transducer cable and gps puck cable correct?
