Humviewer
« on: February 13, 2010, 10:15:57 AM »
Sorry i am such a novice but is humviewer just for recordings or are there applications for screenshots as well?  I have downloaded the program and cannot find any recording that i made on the sd card, it appears that i have only saved screenshots.  Can i measure the height of an object on a screenshot or just on a recording.
Thanks

Hi hoselrocket,
you can view records in Humviewer and create snapshots from there. But you cannot view snapshots which you have made with your unit in Humviewer. Use a regular photo viewer for that.
If you have recorded something while on the water, it will be in the "RECORD" folder on the SD card. Copy the folder and paste it to a place on your PC where you can find it if you want to review the recording in HumViewer.
Go to the "FILE" tab in HumViewer and click on "OPEN". Browse to the place where your record folder is and open it. Then choose the .DAT file and doubleclick it. The file will be opened. This might take a while, depending on how long the recording is. So be patient. After the file is opened just check the "PLAY" box or press "P" on your keyboard.
You can messure length, height and distance in SI and 2D with HumViewer, but not in a snapshot.

Hope this helps

Good luck / Harry

HI
I do not have a record option on the sd card.  Only profile, snapshot and matrix, is this because i have no recordings on the sd card?

thanks

Right hoselrocket.
In this case you don't have any recordings on the SD card.
Snapshot folder: Pictures
Matrix: Navigation Data
Profile: Unit's Data

If there is no record on thre SD then check to make sure you selected from your menu on the record screen to start recording and then to stop when you have finished.  chuck
