Downgraded software unit was working fine in the house went to use it on boat today says waiting for test command what happened

After the unit boots to the GPS disclaimer screen...wait for 45-90 seconds...before pressing the "Exit" button to enter normal operation...

There have been reports of the units taking longer to boot than in the past...and pressing "Exit" into operational mode too quickly interrupts the unit's boot process...
