Buck,
did make any snapshots or recordings?
Did export your Nav.-Data to the SD card?
If you haven't done anything from this, the profile is the only file showing up on your PC.

bigbassbuck,
You have to load the software from this or the Humminbird web site onto the SD card first before installing it into the unit for the software update to take place.

You will be able to use it to update the software in the 747 unit (not the 998 unit).

bigbassbuck,

You will have to download the update from here in the Downloads Section or from Humminbird.com.

Here are the instructions and also two videos on how to do the update:

http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=14.0

Make sure you watch the video that show the steps for doing the update.  This is where most people mess up.

Power on unit
restore defaults
insert SD card
folow prompts for update
unit will reboot
remove SD card
restore defaults

Good Luck,

You don't have to use HB PC to transfer the file if you don't want to.  You can just copy and paste it to the SD card if you know how.

Actually he does Robert as the 747c does not have a map card slot.

Know anyone with a PC that would let you load HumminbirdPC to update your 747c unit?
