Does the standard "out of the box" transducer do 360 degree imaging?

No.....The 360 system is a special transducer that connects to the unit as an Ethernet accessory.  The current model of the 360 is a transom mount device......You will find a lot of info if you check Humminbirds website or or do some Google searching.
