Congratulations Chuck (sonar2000)---- 4,000 post!!!!!
« on: March 13, 2014, 12:36:37 AM »
Chuck,

Congratulations on a major milestone. For those of you that are not familiar with Chuck, he is one of the main reasons this website runs
as well as it does.  Operating more in the background recently, keeping the spammers away, he surfaces when the need arises providing
answers acquired over many years of experience. There are many members that continually offer help of all kinds. Chuck is a main player.
Thanks for all you do for us.

                     Mike

You know I seem to remember reading where Chuck was retiring (again!).  He’s not retired, he just works more in the background here and at the same time is working on becoming an expert in a whole new (for him) area!  When it gets it conquered we will no doubt all benefit when he starts to answer posts about it as well.  So expect 5,000+ sometime in the near future!

Thanks Chuck!

Thanks for the accolades guys. I try to help where possible and with new folks coming on board and sharing their knowledge allows me to move to other areas that need attention.
In reality, Robert is the main man. He brought the basics here and has continued to upgrade the system so that we can take advantage to meeting the challenges.

Diverting a bit from this post, I do want to mention that the forum exists by and on donations. So anytime you feel that this is a forum of distinction please drop Robert a donation using the tab on the main menu.
Humminbird has a lot to offer the community but without this forum a lot of folks would never make it in the world of sonar.

Thanks again guys.
Chuck

I didn't mean to slight Robert, because without him none of us would be here. He will always be the MAIN man.
Any organization I have ever belonged to has had key people that keep it from getting out of control. Just pointing out your contribution.

The internet is a funny thing. You get used to going to a site and using the information provided for free. Most of the revenue to support the site
comes from all the adds and banters that scream "click here". Robert has been very selective on what we see here. Limited and quality companies.
I know that PayPal works, but I'm just not comfortable with it. I do have a checkbook and know how to use it. PM Robert and he will probably
provide a mailing address. Worked for me. $20.,$25., or what you can afford represents a true bargain now days.

I love the term, "forum of distinction".

I'm in for the charter membership.

......a bargain.

Yes,
Thanks to Robert for starting and maintaining this site.

Mike:
Paypal is rock solid.
The good thing about it, is that when you order/donate with it,
the vendor can't see your credit card number.

I won't order anything online unless they take Paypal or unless
I can send them a personal check.
I've had two instances when I used a credit card online, then
shortly afterwards somebody bought plane tickets with my card.

It just kind of popped into my head so I typed it.  Thanks.

I think most of the folks here find this forum to be different than others and one that is quite informative. And without rude comments.  It is the members that make it successful with their knowledge and sharing it with others..
