Interlinking a 998 to a 858

I have just bought a 858,and dowloaded the new software to it,and new software to the 998 too,bought the interlink and it updated too,,the 998 is reading connected interlink and gps signal,,the 858 won't read the interlink or gps when plugged in

i have the same units but i am using the ethernet cable and everything works great.  i have heard that sometimes the interlink gives some problems

I have heard, but not confirmed, that there may be some issues with the 6.180 software and the InterLink (also with the Ethernet) connection.  Try loading the last version of software into both units and see if that helps any.

The Ethernet connection has been less problematic for most and will allow for more usage than the InterLink connection will.

dont know what customer service is hearing  but we certainly see waypoint and ethernet issues here.

bigbass, you will be fine with the investment. HB will get the ethernet fixed or go down the drain.

Thanks guys the ethernet cord fixed all problems,,now I have a worthless interlink

Glad you are back in business.

Maybe you can put a hook on the interlink and make it a lure. 
dont think it weighs enought to make a good anchor... ::)
