Title: Track recording with Lakemaster card in place?
Post by: danielmoadus on August 04, 2018, 12:50:59 PM
I'd like to record a track by following some contour lines on my local lake that is included in my Lakemaster software, but the only way to record is to have a blank memory card in the slot. But when I take out my Lakemaster card the lake map isn't available. Seems like I can utilize both features but not at the same time. Any way to do both?T

The smaller units with only one SD card slot have this limitation of viewing a map card data vs recording Sonar logs  ...

Have you updated your unit to the latest software version - including the new basemap  ...??

Your Lake data may be included in the new basemap  ...

I've done recordings on my Lakemaster card.  Helix 7.

It's a slower card so it stops recording occasionally for a second (either that or its reading the map but I dont usually have that screen up when recording).

NOTE: Most do not recommend doing this for fear of corrupting the mapping data but I've not had that issue.
