Every file I try to convert with the HBSI Converter returns this error.
ERROR: Incorrect checkbit35: at position 35Has anyone else seen this.
Running a 998 and 6.610 software
Windows 7
other converters will work but will not generate the proper format for Yellowfin

I will have this fixed this weekend.
Robert.

you are super! Thanks for looking into it!

I have downloaded what I believe is the latest version of HBSI (1.1.0.1, Copyright 2013) and I am getting this message. My unit is a 798CI HD SI COMBO.
The converted .872 file has 0 bytes.. Thanks for any insights.

Dear RGacy,
Can you PLEASE check why this Error code below keeps popping up in HBSI Convertor?
ERROR: Incorrect CheckBit 35 at Position: 35
I run a Win7 64 Bit window version and a 1197 and 1198 data with older recorded files (old Firmware) and newest Firmware updates.
None helps.
When I run V 1.1.0.1. on a standard Win7 32 Bits 10.1 Inch laptop, it runs fine???
Can you help me or can I work arround that?
I already tried compatibillity with other Window Versions, yet none helps.
Kindest regards and thank you for your reply in advance,
Surveyor

-
No it's not fixed, if you want to use deepviewer, convert .dat in xtf with son2xtf and open it in deep. it's working.
waiting for next hbsi sonar data file converter.

Is there any way to work around this error and get the HBSI Sonar File Converter to work? I am trying to convert HB.DAT file to .DVS to view with Deep Vision app.
Thanks!

Hi muskyhntr
Welcome to the forum
As abraquelebout writes, convert .son to .xtf with the help of son2xtf, which Deep Vision can read.

Son2XTF must be the most elusive application on the web! I tried the link, but I got a message that .NET framework 1.1 needed to be downloaded. I'm using Windows 10 with .NET 4.8. .Net framework 1.1 is no longer supported or available from the .NET site. :'(
Any help appreciated.

i used "HBSI file sonar converter" to convert hummin files to .872 because yellowfin use .872
when i launch the conversion i get "ERROR: Incorrect CheckBit 35 at Position: 35" and an empty .872 file is created
then impossible to use yellowfin

Hi Tournevase
Try DeepView https://deepvision.se/download/sonar-software/ (https://deepvision.se/download/sonar-software/) and the Son2xtf converter http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=26 (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=26) , works with win 10.
