Title: screen has issues
Post by: hop1234 on October 08, 2011, 07:02:36 PM: 3 weeks ago screen on 797 c2 si had a dark circle in middle at end of 6 hour fishing day in 80-90 degree heat and sun. Have had unit since 3/09. Been out 12 times since, with no problem. Circle came back 2 days ago. Now screen has a look as if your looking at a negative of old camera pictures .That's when in SI or DI. Regular sonor has very little color and just a few broken lines. Talked to HB and was told to disconnect transducer. Did. Same images. Also ran power from another battery and same images. both batteries had voltage of 12.6- 12.7. Any ideas ?

Does it show this while in the simulator mode as well?

Post by: joe on December 05, 2011, 06:30:54 PM: Hi Hop, I have a display problem with my 797 also, although mine just blanked out and hasn't worked since. Did Humminbird bill you for the repair? I haven't sent mine away yet, but they sent me a rather expensive quotation! I'm a bit disappointed, seeing as I only use the finder a half dozen times a year!

Post by: Jasta on January 11, 2012, 08:50:06 PM: i had a problem with my screen (used the wrong cleaners when I first got it---STOOPID) anyway and they charged me about $75 to replace the lens and it took about 2 weeks to turn around!
