Title: Multiple Matrix Folders
Post by: ScottA on September 02, 2013, 12:08:57 AM
Has anyone tried putting Multiple Matrix Folders on the same SD Card? Will the Unit see that there are more than one Matrix Folder and let me chose witch folder to Open?
The HB PC Program will only allow the max Route/Waypoint info to be loaded on the SD Card in the matrix folder, so I was wondering if Multiple Matrix Folders could be put on the same SD Card and let me store more Info (Lakes and Routes) in different folders.
Just a thought, don't want to try it without running the Question by some of the more experienced user's on this forum. Don't want to lock up my unit and have to send it to HB to get it straighten out.

No.
It's not even possible to have duplicate folders or files under the Microsoft FAT/FAT-32 file structure.

Thanks LittleGazoo,
I was making reference to Making Multiple Matrix Folders (Matrix1, Matrix2)
I know the Unit needs to see a Matrix folder, I didn't know if it would see a folder with an extra digit on the end of the file name.
Thanks for your input, I figured if it was doable someone here would know.

I guess you could put Matrix(n) folders on the SD/MMC, but HB units will only import from the MATRIX folder.  You would have to manipulate those folders on your PC to set up importing the MATRIX you prefer.

I manage my Navdata in HumminbirdPC by lake.  Each in its on .GPX file with data attached to I have a cycle of backup data.  Ex: FORK_20130801x.gpx, FORK_20130815x.gpx, etc. x=a,b,c. . . if date is the same.  Then upload from HBPC to SD/MMC for unit loading before on-the-water.
