999c si lost read at high speed
« on: June 03, 2019, 04:10:25 AM »
Hi All

I am new to the forum and hope to learn more about my electronics.
I bought this boat last August and it had 2 hummingbirds on it. One being
the 999 as my main. I was out about a week ago and decided to cruise a bit
faster then usual after I did I lost my high speed picture the graph went to
1 foot and stayed there. I tried adjusting the transducer assuming it moved.

That did not help. I decicded to do a factory reset. Still no depth reading at high speed
So im wondering if theres a way to trouble shoot this and if someone
might be willing to tell me good settings for the Graph.

Thanks Kevin

The xducer must be below the hull in order to have constant water flow over the face of the xducer when the boat is up on plane ...

Can you post a Pic of your transom at xducer level  ...??

Are you using a second transducer for the higher speed ? The SI transducer is only good to about 8 MPH. I have a 999 and after adding the second transducer, I lost bottom around 20 MPH and then adjusted the transducer angle a little and that helped. I am also trying to find the best settings. I am choosing one setting at a time and making small adjustments and see what happens.
