Tranducer Install on Nitro X5
« on: March 01, 2012, 12:07:32 PM »
Hello Forum.    New member here.  Just purchased an 898 unit.  I'm wondering where a good spot to put the transducers would be.  I have pictures of the transom of my boat, but I don't know how to post them.  If anyone has pictures of install on Nitro and is willing to share them, I would greatly appreciate it.  Totally new to Side Imaging.  I do own a 587ci bird without switchfire with a shoot thru hull transducer.  I plan to move that unit to the front of the boat as a trolling motor graph.  Another question I have is the shoot thru hull transducer XP 9 20 T compatible with 898 unit?

Bass....check the installation section of the media tab..
Use the search tab at the top of the main menu to search for installations on your boat..

There is quite a bit  of help in this forum available for searching...

The XP-9-20-T transducer you have installed now will work with the 898 unit for the 2D sonar.  You will need to get either the AS-Si-DB-Y transducer splitter cable or a TS3 Transducer Switch to connect it and the HDSi transducer up to your 898 unit.  Most buy the AS-Si-DB-Y cable for this.
