2 TRANSDUCERS?
« on: June 10, 2010, 10:07:26 AM »
Hello all, I am new to this forum and to the whole sonar thing so please forgive my ignorance, I recently purchased a 798c si installed it and promptly broke the mounting bracket. Before breaking the mounting bracket i noticed the left side image was not as good as the right side, the transducer was mounted on the right side. My question is could i mount 2 transducer 1 left 1 right and connect them with a y cable.

revilomd,

Welcome to the forum!

Absolutely, you can use the Y-cable!  I have this same setup on my boat.

If you get the chance, take some pictures of your current setup and let us have a look just to make sure you don't have some other issues going on!

Is the foot of the motor or something else blocking it or is it caused by turbulence off the transom from a deep V hull, etc!

Good Luck,

Robert
