Dual Helix 10 units on console
« on: May 03, 2021, 04:36:49 PM »
Ok I have a Helix 10 Mega SI G2N that i use JUST for High Speed 2D sonar and my lake Maps, I also have a Helix 10 Mega SI+ G4N that I use ONLY for my DI & SI  the problem is I'm getting interference between the 2 units because the Helix G4N is using the factory Transducer which has BOTH 2D sonar and the Si & Di. I'm using the Xnt9-20T for the G2N unit for high speed, if i cut off sonar on the G4N it stops the DI & SI also is there anyway the just stop the 2D sonar on my G4N Unit? I even thought about getting an wiring diagram of the connector and breaking a pin off of the transducer cable for the 2D part to stop it from working but didnt know if that would screw up anything on DI & SI? Any help is appreciated! Thanks

The issue in your specific scenario is that both units are transmitting 200kHz (or their CHIRP frequency spectrum) causing crosstalk interference  ...

Ethernet allows both units to use 2d from one transducer - which will help with crosstalk interference  ...

Are the units Ethernet connected  ...??
