This might sound rather sorry, but is the T/M power on? If I don't push the power button on I won't get the screen to pop up on my screen, remote, foot pedal won't work. You would think that it would power up automatically, but it don't. Also might try to direct connect to the sonar without the Ethernet box. I have my Helix 9, Ulterra all going through my Ethernet box. With no problems. Is yours link? not that it matters.

If all three devices are connected through the ethernet switch, are you able to see each FF on the network?  If not, then verify ethernet switch is getting powered on.  If you are able to see each FF on network, then check ethernet connections and cable to/from link.

From your description I am guessing that your trolling motor is an Ulterra.  The learn function is the Bluetooth connection between the remote and the trolling motor. Or the Bluetooth connection between the motor and the heading sensor puck.

Until you resolve the Bluetooth issue, you haven't got a chance of connecting to your Humminbirds.

All the Bluetooth functions should be done with no connection to the Ethernet.

Since you said that the motor is powered up, have you tried the learn button on the TM head. To connect the remote to the TM. If this connects properly and you can control the TM with the remote, have you power up the Minnkota heading puck? Have you successfully connected the heading puck  to the trolling motor?

At this point the "learn" functions should be complete.

Now it is time to connect the Ethernet cable to the TM.

If my guess is correct and this is an Ulterra, you should now find the TM on your "network/acessory" page. The only function you will have available will be "deploy"

Your other TM functions will become available once the TM is deployed.  Just a heads up, the "follow the contour" may not be available until you zoom in on the map and you have an "iLink" compatible Lakemaster card in one of your card slots.

Hope this helps....Fish On

With it not showing connected on remote, then sounds like a TM power problem as mentioned above.  If you have verified good power to TM and still not getting status on remote, then sounds like a bad component in TM.
