798c SI versus 798ci SI
« on: June 28, 2010, 04:44:13 PM »
I decided that my setup will be a 998c SI at the console and an interlinked 798c SI or 798ci SI flush mounted in the bow panel of a TR20. It would be nice to have the 798ci SI because there would be no need for an extra GPS antenna by the front deck. However, with the unit flush mounted, will the antenna function as designed or will I lose signal accuracy. Price being equal for both, which would be the best choice: internal or external antenna for the 798 SI?  Thanks.

Our choice is the external antenna.  It will get better reception.
