I finally got all my cables in and connected my Helix 7 si g2n to the ethernet hub. I have just noticed that I do not have a network tab in my main menu. Is this something that anyone has seen before, is it a software issue? So its not to be confused, it is a networked unit, has all the hook ups and even says g2n in the status page. Any info would be great.

Can you confirm the AS ETH 5XPG has power ...??

You also might try Bypassing the AS ETH 5XPG and direct ethernet connect the unit to the other ethernet device in your Setup (head unit, 360, iLink) to see if there may be issues with the AS ETH 5XPG ...

Yeah it has power, my other units all are networked and see each other fine. Even when I just hook up the power and go to demo I dont see the network symbol in the main menu

Try a different port on the AS ETH 5XPG ... There are reports of single ports not working on the AS ETH 5XPG ...
Or still bypass the AS ETH 5XPG and direct ethernet connect the suspect unit to another unit to determine if if the issue is the suspect unit, a port on the AS ETH 5XPG, or the cable connected to the suspect unit ...

I attached an image and you can see that the network tab isnt even in the main menu. Its on my other units even if its disconnected.

Have you tested the ethernet direct connected between 2 head units to bypass the AS ETH 5XPG ...??
You can always call HB ... 1-800-633-1468

I have connected them directly to each other and checked every cable. Ill have to call HB back because even after I explained that I did everything they asked they still said check the cables. Its not the cables they all are all brand new. The fact that the network tab is missing from the menu is the problem. It does not need to be connected to anything to be seen. My other 2 units have it on the main menu even if the power cable is just connected.

So while I am waiting to contact HB. I did noticed on my Helix 7 SI unit that the current software is 1.63 and not the 1.64. Is that possibly why I am having network issues and also is there anywhere I can download the 1.64 software version without having to wait to contact HB?

You can go to the HB web site Support page and scroll down and click on the Helix 7 models list, then click on your unit model, download the newest update on a card and install it.
Here's a link to their Support page with Software Updates;

Maybe that will solve your problem.
I think the latest update version for your unit is 2.0, so it appears you are several updates behind.
