Hello, i like to know if my units are autochart compatible, i have a matrix 97 and a 797c2i. I send a mail to humminbird but no replay...
I find a Compatible Units list in bassproshops site, is that list correct?
other question, the autochart for USA will work in european units?

I do not know about any lists on the Bass Pro Shops site but only those units that have received the software update will work with the AutoChart generated maps.
Yes the North American (or other versions) will work outside of their intended area of use. You just won’t have any lake map outlines on the Zero Lines map card but these can be generated by you and added as needed. Why not get the European version of AutoChart/AutoChart Pro?

maybe i buy a european version of autochart but i cant find in Portugal, and in Spain its more expencive!
but first of all i need to know if autochart will work in my 797 or matrix 97.

Oops! Sorry, I thought I answered that part. No, the Matrix 97 nor the 797 units received the software update to work with AutoChart.

So I have no chance to use autochart in my units, and i supose drdepth is no longer avaliable , is there another software that allow me to create my owne maps?

I'm still confuse about autochart and 797c2, I update the last firmware version (5.450) and in the FAQ (http://www.humminbird.com/Category/Support/FAQ/5-450/ (http://www.humminbird.com/Category/Support/FAQ/5-450/)) i can read this "Display custom chart menus if custom chart layer is turned on", if this is not for autochart is what coustom charts? autochart work with all units that work with lakemaster? I find this tutorial still not understand...
I contact humminbird 3 times but they dont replay... its usual? or they use to take some time to replay? i think they can clear this.
I will contact humminbird again and again, i will get a replay or I will know they just whant my money once... and I change for lowrance!
If anyone can help i apreciate!

The autochart program will only work with the HD 700 series units. I learned this the hard way. The directions about copying the folder and renaming does not work. I think reefmaster works the same way though. You might want to give them a call or email. I think it may be cheaper and you might be able to try it before you buy it..

AutoChart capability was not added until software version 7.000 (or higher) and then only to some of the older model units. The 797 models have not received this capability.
AutoChart does not automatically work with any Humminbird unit that can use a LakeMaster mapping card. It also requires the correct software to do so.
The “Display custom chart menus if custom chart layer is turned on” note for the 5.450 software means that there were new menus added. There was a “Custom” setting added to the “Chart Detail Level” menu and when that is selected another new menu will appear: “Custom Chart Detail” that allows you to customize what information is being shown by the unit. This does not allow the unit to work with any additional type/brand of mapping card.
When you contacted Humminbird, how was this done: telephone call, email, chat?
Was this Humminbird U.S.A. or a local distributor?
Yes, sometimes it does take them some time to reply to an email message, but if this is how you contacted them it could also be that your messages are getting blocked or filtered out. More information would have to be known before this could be looked into.
