Title: Navionics SD vs MSD
Post by: louisd33 on January 04, 2014, 07:00:06 PM
I have a 1197c si unit and a 998c si unit.
I am a bit confused as to if the new Navionics + on a MSD card is compatible with these units.
I have an older Navionics Gold+ XL9 / 14XG SD card for the 1197 but want to buy the new  Navionics + for the 998, but they only come on a MSD card.

Thanks for your help.

Louis.

By the way I must say this site is awesome.
I am learning so much just reading some of the posts.

Here is a link to their compatibility guide. The 1197 and 998 are in HB's first part. Check mark for Navioncs+.

When Navionics first started using the MSD cards they would ship them out with an adapter so that they can be used in products that required a full sized SD card.  You may want to check with them to make sure that they still do this.
