788c Trolling Motor Transducer Mount Question
« on: February 21, 2012, 11:42:08 PM »
I received my 998c SI unit today and will be installing it on the console of the boat this weekend. I have recently moved my 788c to the bow of the boat and installed everything except for the transducer. The reason being is that I do not have a trolling motor mount at this time.

The question I have here is will the AD STM 7 mount, which is for the 998c SI transducer, work for the transducer that comes with the 788c? I have read some bad reviews on the AD XTM 9, which is recommended by Humminbird for the 788c transducer. From what I understand is that the  AD XTM 9 breaks very easily since it is plastic. The AD STM 7 is made of metal and will be many times stronger and more durable.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Will
