Check out these cool images that Make Bucca captured with his Humminbird 1197c...
Took these from this morning.. Notice how these fish are over a channel in every shot. Very typical for my lake. They relate to the channel as structure even though they are suspending above it. Crisp enough?? :wink:

Neat! How big are the fish and what species are they?

Since Mike guides for mainly Spotted Bass and Stripers and having the chance to fish with him most of the schools we seen and then caught that looked like this were fish in the 3-5 pound range with some bigger ones mixed in.

Amazing capture on screen! I was thinking a school of crappie perhaps. But they are probably to big for that. In and around my waters, crappie go on minnow feeding frenzies this time of year. Large schools of minnows head up the creeks and sloughs. And the crappie and smaller catfish are right behind them.
