Title: Garmin MapSource to 998c problems
Post by: 96720 on September 15, 2010, 04:07:44 PM
I'm not having any luck transferring waypoints from MapSource to my 998c.  What am I doing wrong???  I created waypoints and transferred the GPX. file to my SD card and put it in the 998c but, when the unit "says" it's finding new data........... it then says "NO DATA FOUND".  Any ideas?  Thanks.

You have to convert the GPX to Humminbird HWR format.

Easiest way to use Humminbird PC software and import the Garmin or GPX file, then export to the SD card.

Here is a tutorial: http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=13.0 (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=13.0)

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Robert!  Finally got out on the water today.  Reloaded the waypoints and the 998c found the data.
