Title: Minimum Speed
Post by: dlaserdude on July 11, 2011, 03:58:07 PM
Hello guys. New here and needing some info. I'm considerring going Hummingbird 898's on bow and console of a new boat. My question is, Will the down imaging work correctly at slow speeds, like trolling motor on low. I have heard that the side immaging must have 5mph. but what about the detailed look down?   Thanks for any help.

Dl; The HB SI/DI works best at 1-4 mph on my set-up, match settings to speed and a little on water time.
I have five (5) HB units on water time was the best teacher.

Enjoy Roddy :)

Roddy, I dont know of a difference in brown to blue water that is significant in the display.
Althought the more trash that is in water will clutter the screen.
Speed of motion will not hlep in any way for this trash.
