transferring routes and waypoints
« on: August 28, 2012, 10:31:58 AM »
Seeing lots of questions on route and waypoint transfer. Quick suggestion: If you have a new Navionics chart, make sure you register for free Fresh Data daily updates and you'll see the opportunity to get a free PC App. If you download this you can transfer waypoints/routes. For example, if you go from Lowrance to Humminbird, download your waypoints to a blank SD card. Pop it into the navionics app and save them. Then go under settings and click save as and select your humminbird model then save to the SD card or MSD. you can then move the points to your new Humminbird.

The following applies to units with firmware that supports the new Waypoint Management functions.

What version of software includes the new Waypoint Management menus?

You should be able to download the Waypoint Management Guide in an Adobe Acrobat document (Waypoint Management Guide.pdf) from this link ...

Page 3 of the WMG shows how to access the Waypoints, Routes and Tracks option from the Nav Menu ...

Note in the above that you can select a single waypoint, route or track for export and you can include multiple items for export.
