My 997 has given up the ghost; it looks like the side of the screen is either delaminating or has water behind it.

Ive been quoted £450 to get it repaired

Do I have any alternatives to this? Is it possible to get hold of the screens as I know plenty of people who are au fait with electronics.

My other alternative is to get a newer unit and scrap this one...bit of a pi$$ take considering how much it was new mind.
