Title: Do all 798s and 788s have contour xd?

I recently sold my  788c, which had contour xd on it, to upgrade to 798. I saved for a while to be able to afford a 798c, which I bought on ebay. I updated it to the newest firmware and it still wont show the contour xd on lakes where my other one had it. Is there a setting for this or something?

I think that all 798 units had the Contour XD maps loaded in them except for the NVB models.
Is your 798 unit one of the NVB models?
What is the serial number of your 798 unit?

It is not a nvb model. Here is the Serial #: 9093002-0100.

That particular 798 was built with 4.510 version software which looks like it was before the Contour XD maps… So I guess that we did build some without the Contour XD maps.  That is one old 798 unit as it was built September 30th of 2009 and must be one of the first built.
