Topic: Viewing programs

I have reviewed my recording on Humviewer and YellowFin.  I have also tried viewing the recording on the 1197c, this is way too slow to view.  The one thing nice about viewing on the 1197 is that you can view everything including the charts, unfortunately it takes forever.

I like Humviewer and yellowfin but would like to see a program commercial or private that would show everything that the HB unit would, including the charts.

Is there any programs out there that would emulate the HB unit for viewing?  Do not understand why HB would not develop and sell such a program!

I would appreciate any suggestions.

George, it is the cost of writing and maintaining the program(s).  HB vends out the code to other writers. Johnson outdoors does a little of it but other is vended.
All considered cost saving as you do not have to pay a programmer with benefits and retirement...Just the way of the world to day...
HB has to compete other makers of sonar and this is a way to keep cost in control.
Some of the other mfg have staff to do this work..Depends on who owns what company..
HB is just an investment for johnson outdoors...
It is all about business ($$$) for the stock holders..
I totally agree with you as it would be nice...
