Title: Howdy and 997c si video out help sought
Post by: Dave Sutton on May 03, 2020, 07:03:42 PM
Greetings gents, new member. I've been using "real" sidescan systems for years for shipwreck hunting and own Klein 3000 and Klein 3900 systems. I've just added a 997c si to my boat for shallow water work, and want to display the video output on the large Furuno CRT display that's used for the Klein system. This is a legacy (analog) monitor of the same generation as 997 series.

Help!

I need to either (A) find the VC-1 cable to take analog video from the 997 to the monitor (which seems impossible) or to (B) figure out the pinouts for the connector on the back of the 997 and to fabricate a cable. That would mean both finding the correct connector (or entering the unit and wirin directly) and knowing where both sinal and ground are on the pins.

Any assistance gratefully sought.

Thanks,

Dave
