Well Guys

I am back after being away for several months.  I moved from Temecula, CA to Porum, OK.  Lake Eufaula is my backyard (within walking distance).

I finally got on the water last week for the first time this year, had to do some repairs on my boat after it was damaged during the move.

The water is quite different when compared to Lake Skinner in CA ( for the last 11 years).   I will complete some updates on my 1197 today and hopefully get on the water tomorrow.  Wind is a big issue here with my 16 ft aluminum boat, it wants to blow me around especially (normal spring conditions) when loading back on to the trailer.  As expected I am being careful while I learn the lake which is huge (102,200 acres with over 600 miles of shoreline).

When I got hear 2 months ago the lake was 5 feet low, since then we have had over twelve inches of rain in my area and Eufaula is now a foot above pool, so everything is changing rapidly, with the dam opening to maintain a reasonable level.

Given all the my changes, what a wonderful opportunity for my 1197 HB to show off, I also have the new Platinum card to help me get around the lake.

I intend on purchasing a large Bass Boat but want to learn about the lake before I purchase it.  Am I excited, you bet I am, I like the challenge and have HB to give me the help that I need.

George
