Title: Helix 10 won't run with map card in right slot.

This is a Helix 10 Mega SI G2N purchased in May of 2017, so it's out of warranty. I had to send it back twice last year, but it has been working fine until now. It will not boot with a SD card in the right hand slot. The "starting up" screen comes on but it never does anything more. All the buttons including the cursor and the start button light up but do not function. To turn it off I have to disconnect power. If there is a SD card in the left hand slot but none in the right hand slot, it starts and runs normally. If I insert a SD card in the right hand slot while it is running, the display freezes and all the buttons freeze. Again, I have to disconnect power to turn it off. I have tried 3 different Lakemaster map cards and one Navionics card. All work in the left hand slot, but loading any one of them into the right hand slot freezes everything up. Any ideas on a fix before I have to send it back to Alabama?

Is this scenario only occurring with a map card ...??

Does the same happen if a blank SD card is inserted into the suspect slot ...??

If you can successfully insert a blank SD card into the suspect slot - can you create a snapshot to the SD card ...??

I just tried it with a blank 8GB SanDisk card. Same story. Display freezes, no buttons active, have to disconnect power to turn it off. Also, I updated to V1.840 today, that didn't help either.

OK thanks for trying. I don't have much faith in the phone support or much tolerance for waiting on hold so I'll just send it in. I still have hopes the weather will improve enough to get out fishing a little before I put the boat in storage, so I'll use it as is until then. I'll let you know how this turns out once I get it fixed.

Did you ever get this fixed, curious what happened, I have same problem on Helix 8

I sent it in to the factory and it came back fixed, but they gave me no explanation of the cause or the solution of the problem. Frustrating, but it worked all summer after I got it back.
