1197 located drowning victim in southern Germany

A man was located by the water rescue police only hours after going missing in lake Taching in southern Germany. The actual search itself took less than an hour.

Here is the link to the newspaper article (unfortunately its in German - but babelfish will help):
http://www.rosenheim24.de/bayern/taucher-bergen-50-jaehrigen-rosenheim24-837666.html

I trained the police in using their humminbird 1197 and they really got into it - beside the wrecks (http://www.rosenheim24.de/land/kampenwand-bergung-faehre-chiemsee-rosenheim24-737091.html)  they found with the unit it is the second drowning victim they recovered.

The best thing that this unit can do is to give the relatives a chance to go on and not stay with the uncertainty when a drowning victim is not found!

Aquatically yours

Good job.   Using the right sonar and with a trained and experienced operator is something we must continue to promote for missing persons.
Divers are great at recovery but the length of time to find most victims by dive search can be greatly reduced with sonar assistance.
Those who understand their unit will need to follow the example here and show what our products can do.
Christian said it well,
"The best thing that this unit can do is to give the relatives a chance to go on and not stay with the uncertainty when a drowning victim is not found!"
The family is looking for the "healing process" which can only begin when the missing is located.
Great work christian.
Chuck
