Title: 1198 wont power off

My 1198 will not power off with power button its running 6.180 soft ware I have 12.6 volts it is wired to fuse block any ideas what should I do seems to work ok what a great first post  thanks Jason.

Is it still under warranty?   Sound like the button is bad

Hold the button in a good 3 seconds.

Thanks guys yeah I do the 3 to 4 second thing the units screen gets colored pixilation vertical and horizontal in red and blue colors and kinda of strobes on and off unit seems to work ok other than that called hb they said I was out of warranty by a couple of monthes but said when I send unit in they would still honor my warranty that's some awesome customer service thanks again jason

JVB,
They try to be a little lenient about these things.  It sometimes helps if you are nice to them on the phone - just think about the number of Customers they speak with every day!

I can second that statement sugar goes much further than salt and hummingbird has honored my past warranty once before with Greg's advice.
