What is your experience using HumViewer on Windows 10?

While I have only used HumViewer occasionally I have not seen any differences between Windows 8.1 and after upgrading to Windows 10.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I talked with a local person who is using Windows 10 /HumViewer and is happy with it. I'm going to try it.

I just upgraded to Windows 10, but haven't tried Humviewer with it yet .... Sure wish I could have put XP on this computer.

Please let us know how it works .... If I get around to it, I will post back.

The results are in. Today I had a chance to play some recordings in HumViewer version 86 on my Windows 10 system.
I like it better than Windows 7. The recordings load much faster and the playback is smoother.

Has anyone tested the recordings from Helix 12 (especially chirp rec) with the Humviewer?Guess should be an update for that!

I have used Humviewer for years for recordings on units from 897, 997, and 1198.  I am now getting invalid file errors trying to load recordings from my new HELIX 12 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N.  At first I thought that Humviewer wouldn't read the Mega frequency (approx 1.2 MHz), but have since had the same problem doing SI recordings at 800 KHz as well.  I can load and view the files in Sonar TRX-SI, but it doesn't have the same functionality that I'm looking for.

Anyone else having problems?

I think there is a thread someplace about this. I am using Vista, and a Helix 9G2N and it won't play mine also. I read that we need to use something else like reefmaster, yellowfin. If I use Reefmaster I have to upgrade my lap top to a newer operating system. So I am using the recordings from my 899 on the console. Not really what I want.

I had to do the same thing.  Downloaded SON2XTF, convert and then view them in DeepView FV 3.0.  It works, but doesn't have the functionality of Humviewer.

I've only used it on Windows 10 and it seems to work well for me.

My only problem is whenever I try to export a csv file of the depth data it won't do it for me! Has anyone else had this problem?

I have successfully loaded Helix 12 recordings into HumViewer.  However, when I attempted to load recordings made with my MEGA unit, I got the error stopping the load.   It is not related to Windows versions, instead it is because Humminbird put some extra files in the folder for the recording and this causes HumView to error out.  Click on this video link from Lake Images Training for the simple solution.  https://youtu.be/qvelxOOcY54 (https://youtu.be/qvelxOOcY54)
