Winner of the SideImagingSoft.com T-Shirt Image Contest
« on: April 25, 2010, 04:42:31 PM »
I wanted to formally announce the winner of the SideImagingSoft.com T-Shirt Image Contest.

DougV was the winner with his winning image below.

Thanks to all the users who submitted images.  It was a hard decision to make.

I have also decided to see if we can get some sponsors to donate prizes monthly and hold one of these every month.  You will be notified by email of any future contest.

T-Shirts will be available soon and we will be taking orders for the first run.

Thanks again,

Robert Gecy

Great looking shot. Go ahead and plan for another one. There are great scenes captured everyday. Contest like this will have people just riding around trying to top this one. The heck with the fishing.
Do like the big fish do, eat the little ones. Throw the big ones back so someone else can have an enjoyable day on the water.

Excellent choice that shows the power of Side Imaging.

Congrats Doug! Great shot.
Hate to see her go, but love to watch her leave.

Bet that was a tough – but good choice there Robert. Congrats to DougV as well!
It would be nice to see this happen every month or so.  I know that there are many others out there who are taking as good or better screen snapshots as this and I and many others would just love to see them.   :)

Great shot Doug.
SI is an amazing picture.  And to be on a tee-shirt..........wow....
Would this not be nice to make it monthly or every two months.  Robert and the moderators have little to do so this would keep them busy and out of trouble.    ;D

Wow, excellent, this shot is also very clear, well detailed, showing that user has good knowledge of how to get the best of fine tune settings! This shows how good a humminbird unit can do when knowing how to fine tune it, to get best image. I sure would like to know how he has his settings set! None of mine has been nowhere this clear!
Great job! Congratulations!

Slow steady boat speed with chart speed in the 2-4 range will give you the highest level of details in the images. I run 2 Chart Speed alot when I need crisp images. Sensitivity is in the 8-12 range I vary depending on bottom hardness but making sure the transducer is level with the water is the best starting place and the reason I use the www.transducershieldandsaver.com to mount my transducer to the jackplate.
