How to Record Sonar Tracks for input to Navionics Freshest
« on: July 09, 2014, 11:05:57 AM »
OK guys got some info to share, Ive been struggling with how to record, store, download and transfer data to Navionics.

Turned in ticket yesterday to Navionics, got email this morning, with remote computer program so they could look into my computer with me and a rep from Italy working with me.

Bottom line is im not even recording tracks for input correctly.  Ive been all over the Navionics website trying to find info with no success(like MT Bob posts), but tech gave me the following link so I wanted to share with you all.

http://www.navionics.com/en/plotter-tutorial/humminbird

Its a Sonar log recording tutorials - Humminbird  for pretty much all models that I can see.

good luck

Hmmm, wonder why they want you to turn the Screen Snapshot feature on?  They do not use it.

If you're trying to record your tracks for navionics, make sure you save your track after you're done with your outing. It is recommended you save the track every hour. If you don't have your "hi-speed" transducer mounted in a good spot, you might input some bad readings into the track.

Thanks for sharing this. My 998 doesn't have the RECORDING option under SNAPSHOT and RECORDING tab. I just tried recording with this tutorial and it seems to work (in my driveway).
Just bought Autochart so I'm anxious to to start charting.

See my post in your other thread about the HB recording feature ...
