Uploading MO DNR GPX brush pile waypoints
« on: April 12, 2012, 09:58:33 PM »
Ref: 987 latest release with waypoint managment.

The state of missouri DNR has a huge file of every brush pile they place on numerous lake accross the state.  So after downloading them to my laptop and connecting to the 997 C Si trying, both the PC connection as well as loading to an SD, the files never show up on my unit? Any suggetsions... one thing I noticed is that the HB PC renames the waypoint, no matter what it is already named, to a 4 digit sequence.  The HB PC software says its moving the file to the unit but when you look at the unit they aren't there in waypoint managment.  Additionaly, prior to loading a message pops up telling you the the units software verion does not have waypoint management, but it does.  Thanks for your input.

bobby,
You stated in the thread name that this is a GPX file.  GPS files will not load into the unit directly but have to be opened in HumminbirdPC and than saved to an SD memory card and than installed into your unit – nothing else should be on this memory card.  Is this what you did?
If so, can you send me a link to the web page that has the file please?  I would like to take a look at it and try it as well.

You might surf the internet.  I seem to recall some other conversion programs..
I think the GEO folks know more about this..

I actually may already have this file bobby – which worked fine before with an older version of unit software.  I would like the link to confirm that this is the same data file or not before I proceed.

I was really hoping some of the GEO/survey members would jump in here. They deal with this  all the time..
