Title: HumViewer csv and gpx export not working
Post by: biga on June 09, 2013, 05:37:32 PM
Hi, I'm a longtime lurker but first time poster.  I have used HumViewer to process data from my 998si for at least a year or so.  I upgraded to the latest version of HumViewer a couple of days ago (Version 86) and now I can't get the software to export my info to .csv or to .gpx.  So I thought that I could downgrade back to the earlier version of HV but the link on the HV site doesn't work!  Anybody else have these problems, or a workaround?  Thanks!

OK, if anyone else has this issue, I found a workaround using the SIView program.  This program exports the track info in plain text or .gpx formats, although it requires the additional step of converting the recording to .xtf.  Keeping fingers crossed for a bugfix update to HumViewer!

I was having the same problem. I found that it is exporting but not to the folder you choose. No matter what folder you choose it puts in in the humviewer folder under C:\Program Files\HumViewer  or in 64 bit computers C:\Program Files (x86)\HumViewer.

I'm finding that my exported GPX file location is the parent folder/subfolder.

Example: I select C:/DOWNLOAD/FISHING/waypoints.gpx as my export location. The exported GPX will be in C:\DOWNLOAD\fishingwaypoints.gpx

Sorry for posting to old topic but is someone got this problem fixed? I am trying to do depth map of old quarry for my diving club volunteering completely free of charge. (Actually I pay to the club just been part of it :D )

But what program can convert humminbird files to file that SIView can open. For some reason Son2xtf, cant be installed to this computer. (someting about net framework, but that's completely updated to newest possible version. My DrDepth is also some older version but it should do the job if it can just get the data...
