It might be a dock that was knocked loose by the barge traffic.
I'd tie up at shore and walk up that dirt road to the business/ plant at the top
of the hill and look around. I think your answer is up there.

As NK suggested take a walk and look.  It does look a bit like two drainage ditches or concrete pipes emptying into the lake..

I'd try to shorten the range and get a bigger look at it.

Funny how the mind works sometimes. We see a snapshot and think of a fixed body of water ( lake/reservoir).
We are dealing with a river here, so the target could have come from miles and miles upstream.
I like Bob B's idea of bringing the SI range in. Target is in 20 FOW, so maybe try 40' on SI. Target is close to shore, so locating it shouldn't be a problem.
Also I would try SI from several different directions. ie N to S, S to N, E to W, W to E etc.
One thing I don't understand is in the SI view, the left end on the item is directly under the boat. Why isn't there a better 2nd echo in 2D?
I would expect to see a solid red second echo in those conditions.

Hoppies, sorry I was looking at the left side of the screen. I see the red dot now and what you are talking about. does look like a ramp to a dock  or dock. Great pictures...Let us see what you get this next time out..

Looks like you have some issues on the right side. Your water column looks hazy.

Carl
I saw that also. Left water column is clear/ right is hazy, but right SI bottom images are good.
No clue here on this. Will be interesting to hear if it stays this way.

I had this same issue though not as bad. Was able to fix by adjusting contrast and sensitivity. However it still shows up slightly when I use humviewer.
