The permawinter up here seems to have finally subsided
so I can start installing goodies in my new-to-me Alaskan. I'm getting ready to start pulling wires and have a question about routing the Ethernet cable to connect my 898 and 998. I am trying to eliminate as many chances of interference as I can along the way. I am wiring the HB units to the start battery which will be completely separated from the trolling motor batteries (dual 27s for a 80# MK Power Drive on the bow and a 80# Vantage on the rear) . I even sprung for shielded 14/2 power wire to run to the front HB as an added defence against crosstalk/interference from the TM power wires. Am I correct in assuming that the Ethernet cable is shielded as well and pulling it in the same run as the TM power will be OK, or should it be separated physically as far as possible?
Thanks
Jason
