Title: Strange Screen Backlight Action On Power Up.

I have an 898c.  I hope I'm not imagining this, but the instant I push the power button, it appears that the screen changes from a very dim back light to black just prior to it starting the boot up process.  It's like the screen has a constant very dim back light on even when the power is off. I'm not too concerned with that, but I sure don't want any power drain when the unit is not on.  Anyone else notice this or am I just dreaming?  Thanks anyone.

I have the same unit.  I have not noticed the backlight action.  I will watch my unit more closely the next time I power it up.

MIne does the same thing.  I just think that is part of the way things crank up on these high tech machines....

This is common in LCD displays and shouldn't be an issue.
