Topic: Water intrusion?

Hey fellas had a little scare today. Two weeks ago I went to the lake and it POURED down rain. The unit didnt get too wet because it was under cover. But it still got wetter then it has ever been. Any ways brought it home and put it away dry as can be. Today I went on the water and had a great day. I went to scroll up and the button would work 5 out of six pushes. And when I hit exit it make the "don't do that!!" Beep but will eventually work. Luckily I bought it from digital oasis in Marc of this year so it should be under warranty. Anyone else have this issue and what should I do. So bummed.....

Rotus, we have had reports of button problems with the 898 units before but I don’t think that it is related to the unit getting rained on.  Call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks and see about getting it taken care of.

You did register for the Humminbird Select program didn’t you?
