Title: Do I need to download latest Humminbird PC version for 597?

   I recently downloaded 7.120 for my 597ci HD DI ! The updated version for Humminbird PC has changed also from 4.3.3 to 4.4.6 . Do I also need to download this newest version of Humminbird PC to my computer now? just trying to get it all right!

Therefore, unless you have one of these new model units it should not make a difference that you are running the previous version.  However, the previous version was 4.3.8 which fixed a problem with the 4.3.3 version that you are running.  The problem was if you imported waypoints with the same names or locations, HumminbirdPC could get “confused”.

So I recommend that you update to the current 4.4.6 version to get all the latest bug fixes.
